That headphone-sized port is the main thing Generation 1 needs. If your prop has it, an Executioner can usually fire it.

The Hub is the brain. Your sensors and triggers never talk to each other — they all talk to the Hub, and the Hub decides what fires, when, and in what order. One Hub runs your whole haunt.

  • 1 Hub is all you need for almost any haunt. A second one is only for really big attractions where wireless can't reach every corner.
  • Up to 10 sensors and triggers can connect to one Hub — plenty for any front yard, and bigger yards scale with a second Hub.
  • The Hub has 3 configurable ports built right in. Run 3 wired props, or use 1 port for a local Try Me input and the other 2 for wired props. Either setup can skip wireless output nodes entirely.
  • 1 sensor event = 1 assigned scene — and that scene can schedule any number of props with independent delays. One Ghost zone at your front walkway can coordinate the whole sequence.
  • About 600 ft of wireless reach line-of-sight in perfect conditions; typical real-world range is 100-300 ft depending on walls, fences, and metal between devices.
  • Works with any prop that has a try-me button or step-pad jack — that's the small headphone-sized port most animatronics come with. Same port, just two names. Props without one can't be triggered yet.

They solve different jobs. Spirit’s Multi-Prop Remote is operated by a person selecting props. FrightLink’s normal live path starts with visitor movement: Ghost reports the event, the Hub runs the assigned scene, and its scheduled outputs cue one or more props. The app configures, monitors, tests, and can override that automation when needed.
FrightLink uses its own dedicated wireless mesh between the Hub, sensors, and Executioners — built for low latency and reliability in noisy haunt environments. Bluetooth is only used briefly during initial Hub setup with the FrightMaps app.
If your prop has a 3.5mm try-me or step-pad jack, an Executioner can connect it to the Hub. When Ghost reports movement, the Hub runs the assigned scene and sends that Executioner its scheduled output cue. Generation 1 cannot cue props without that compatible input.
Choose Hub Solo when you want local wired control. Choose Starter for a complete automatic first scene: its Ghost wireless motion sensor detects a guest and tells the Hub to start the assigned scene, which can run up to three nearby wired props. Choose Founder when the first prop also needs a wireless Executioner. Expanded Yard includes three wireless motion-sensor zones and three wireless prop outputs.
The Hub has 3 configurable ports: run 3 wired props, or use 1 port for a Try Me button and the other 2 for wired props. Each Executioner adds one wireless prop trigger. One Hub reliably runs up to 10 sensors and triggers; bigger yards add a second Hub, and our kit builder prices that in automatically. A porch may need one Executioner while a larger yard can add more as it grows.
Yes. Movement at one Ghost reports a single event to the Hub. The Hub can map that event to a scene containing several scheduled outputs, such as a skeleton first, fog two seconds later, and a second animatronic at the exit.
Yes. Multiple Ghost sensors can be assigned to Hub scenes that include the same output, which is useful when visitors can approach from two directions.
Yes. Assign each Ghost to a separate Hub scene: movement at Sensor A can run Scene A while movement at Sensor B runs Scene B. Sensors report events to the Hub; they do not directly activate every nearby prop or communicate with Executioners themselves.
For a compatible prop, setup is meant to be plug-in simple: place the Hub, connect the Executioner to the prop’s 3.5mm jack, pair it in the FrightMaps app, run the output diagnostic, then verify the complete Ghost-to-Hub scene with a real walk-by.
A simple porch scene should be a short setup once the devices are charged and your prop jack is easy to reach. Larger yards take longer mostly because you are deciding where sensors and props should go.
No. The core path — visitor movement → Ghost event → Hub scene logic → wired output or Executioner — works locally without internet or a phone standing by. Remote status, backups, updates, and off-property test tools require Hub WiFi.
Up to 600 ft line of sight between the Hub and any device under ideal conditions, with mesh hops extending coverage further. Typical real-world range is 100-300 ft depending on walls, fences, and metal between devices. For whole-yard haunts we recommend placing the Hub centrally.
Your hardware keeps working locally. Ghost events, Hub scene logic, and scheduled outputs continue running. Remote status, off-property testing, and cloud backup pause until you resume.
A one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. The 14-day window you may have seen is the change-of-mind return period — it is not the limit on defect coverage. If a unit develops a covered defect in the first year, send it to us for inspection and we repair or replace it. The warranty does not cover physical or water damage, modifications, improper wiring, misuse, or out-of-spec power supplies.
Sensors and Executioners run on a 3000mAh rechargeable battery. In typical Halloween-night use (deep sleep between triggers) you'll get a full evening on a single charge, with battery life depending on trigger frequency. We recommend topping off the day of.
Yes, FrightLink is designed for sheltered outdoor haunt setups. The hardware uses IP-rated components, conformal-coated PCBs, and gasketed enclosures to help resist moisture. The assembled devices are weather-resistant, not waterproof, so place them under a porch, overhang, or weather cover. Do not leave them in direct rain or submerge them.
Bluetooth is only for initial setup and nearby app pairing. The haunt itself runs through the Hub and local wireless device network, so a phone disconnecting does not stop local scenes from firing.
Yes. Start with a Hub and one prop, then add Ghost sensors and Executioners as your display grows. You do not need to replace the whole system.
FrightLink hardware may be returned within 14 calendar days after delivery. Contact sales@frightlink.com before sending anything back. Standard returns must be complete and undamaged; the customer pays return shipping and original shipping is non-refundable. If an item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us within 14 days and FrightLink will cover return or replacement shipping. Full details are in the Terms of Service.
